The Postdoctoral Research Fellow at WCNDD conducts advanced research in a collaborative, interdisciplinary environment. This role involves designing and executing experiments to explore novel scientific questions, contributing to cutting-edge discoveries in drug development and disease mechanisms. Fellows work closely with senior researchers to develop and refine research methodologies, analyze complex data, and publish findings in top-tier journals. The position provides an opportunity to expand expertise in specific areas of biomedical research while contributing to the advancement of transformative therapeutic strategies.

Postdoctoral Scholar in Medicinal Chemistry

Professor Lindsley is seeking talented and motivated applicants for a postdoctoral research position in Medicinal Chemistry. The principal function of this position is to provide support for basic and translational drug discovery efforts related to neurological and psychiatric diseases, and provide tool compounds and preclinical development molecules for novel targets/mechanisms. Successful candidates will collaborate with individuals involved in the WCNDD including in vitro/molecular and behavioral pharmacology, and in vitro and in vivo drug metabolism and pharmacokinetics. Typically, the ideal candidate should be able to apply their synthetic expertise in organic and/or medicinal chemistry to current programs, and bring a high level of independence and creativity to the position. Drug Discovery Scientists

The Drug Discovery Scientist at WCNDD plays a key role in the identification and development of novel therapeutic agents. This position involves designing and conducting experiments to uncover new drug targets, optimizing lead compounds, and applying cutting-edge techniques in medicinal chemistry, biology, and pharmacology. Collaborating closely with interdisciplinary teams, the scientist will help advance the drug discovery pipeline from concept through preclinical development. The role requires a deep understanding of the drug discovery process, innovative problem-solving skills, and a passion for translating scientific research into potential treatments.
